Most of the time it eventually went away. Sometimes opening the Windows Credentials Manager and nuking saved credentials worked.

I've had this issue several times over the years.Ĭhecking the remember box makes no difference. A couple of registry changes (don't recall which ones exactly).User name as Username as domain\usernameĭeleted all credentials from the credentials manager.I have a number of shared mailboxes connected to Outlook, and I've made sure I have the correct permissions to access them. I double-click that and Outlook connects again without entering credentials.

Now, when it prompts, I'm just hitting cancel and the connection status changes to 'Needs password'. No matter what format I enter credentials, Outlook doesn't seem to like them. The time between prompts doesn't seem to be consistent and can range from a couple to 30 or so minutes.

I installed the latest version of Office from Office 365, setup Outlook, and Outlook has been prompting for credentials ever since. I wiped the machine, reloaded Windows 10 (1809), and got it all up-to-date.
